Sea as Home.

It all began with the sea. Not as a job, but as a necessity: being in the water, breathing slowly, recognizing the silence that only the blue can give.
Over the years, through dives, travels, and encounters, we realized we wanted to share this way of seeing the ocean with others — not as tourists, but as people who step gently into a world greater than themselves.

That is how our project was born: to unite diving, nature, and local culture into a single experience.

Ocean Legacy was born from the idea of helping as many people as possible discover the value of our seas — even those far from home.

The Zanzibar archipelago offers extraordinary experiences, both in and out of the water: diverse islands, unique seabeds, and crystal-clear oceans. Here, the sea is not just a destination — it is a temporary home that welcomes you and changes you.

Francesco Bramucci

Founder of Ocean Legacy
& Scuba Diving Instructor Senior

Francesco has been living in Zanzibar for over 10 years, where he opened the diving center in 2014 with the idea of creating authentic ocean experiences based on passion, professionalism, and human connection.

His love for the sea started early: he earned his first diving certification at just 10 years old and quickly developed a deep interest in marine life and the underwater world.

Today, with over 25 years of diving experience and more than 1000 dives completed around the world, he is a certified PADI and SSI Instructor who has explored waters from the Red Sea and the Mediterranean to Australia, Iceland, and Zanzibar.

Beyond diving, Francesco is passionate about surfing, freediving, and ocean exploration in all its forms.

Through Ocean Legacy, Francesco combines safety and adventure to offer authentic, relaxed, and unforgettable Zanzibar experiences, from diving to private sunset cruises

We are a team of passionate young people, driven by our love for the sea and the desire to share this energy through everything we do. Our entire staff will accompany you on every adventure, ready to take care of every detail to make you feel right at home.
